Bob Scobey Tucumcari, New Mexico
Bob Scobey (December 9, 1916 – June 12, 1963) was an American jazz trumpeter.
He began his career as second trumpeter
for Lu Watters in the Yerba Buena Jazz Band. By 1949, he was leading his own band under the name Bob Scobey's Frisco Band.
Soon Clancy Hayes joined the band to sing and play banjo.
Scobey toured and recorded e.g. with Louis Armstrong, Lizzie Miles, Gene Schroeder, and Bing Crosby.
